Our designs are produced to meet the individual requirements of the vessel.

Hampidjan New Zealand has extensive expertise, having designers from both Iceland and New Zealand.  Many designs have been developed to their full potential with the assistance of the flume tank in Denmark, as well as skippers and crew throughout the world.

New Zealand grounds and species are widely diverse and therefore it is important to take every consideration into account when deciding on the design, type of materials, groundgear and set up to best suit the vessel/owners needs.

No matter what the horsepower or species we can provide efficient trawls. Our high quality materials range from Magnet Green, providing strength with abrasion resistance, Magnet Grey for more strength with less surface area, to Dyneema for maximum economy on surface area with maximum strength.  Nylon netting as well as PE/PA for midwater trawls is also available.
