Hampidjan rope is featured in the balustrade at The Apple Shed, located over the water on Mapua Wharf. With stunning views across the Waimea Inlet, this waterfront restaurant is an inviting space that draws you in the moment you step through the entrance.
Originally a fruit storage shed, The Apple Shed’s natural, seaside vibes are complemented perfectly with a rustic style balustrade.
The balustrade was installed in November 2018, using 36mm tan coloured polypropylene 3 strand rope. It was created by feeding rope through old bollards and splicing decorative stopper knots at each end. The final result stylishly frames the entrance to The Apple Shed, and ties together the overall look.
